By insisting on a common humanity, the film challenges a polarized debate, without depoliticizing the conflict.
The film screening will be followed by a conversation with Jewish-American director Julie Cohen, Palestinian director Mo Husseini and Anne Julie Semb, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, UiO. Semb was a member of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, which investigated the Norwegianization policy and injustice towards the Sami, Kven and Forest Finns (2023).
The conversation will be led by Steinar Ims, Head of Education at the Norwegian Holocaust Center.
The event is free and open to everyone.
