The Norwegian Center for Holocaust and Minority Studies conducts research within the fields of Holocaust, antisemitism, extremism, conspiracy theories, minority studies and comparative genocide.
The Norwegian Center for Holocaust and Minority Studies (CHMS) seeks the status of a premier research and educational institution in Norway with expertise on the Holocaust, other genocides, antisemitism, extremism and minorities.
CHMS also puts emphasis on public outreach and dynamic collaboration with Norwegian authorities. In addition to academic studies and publications, the center hosts research conferences and seminars and engages in the development of exhibitions, teacher training seminars and educational material. The research department is also set to contribute to producing temporary exhibitions.
One of the department's main goals is to contribute to the knowledge about new and historical forms of prejudice, discrimination and racism targeting minority groups.
