Research Areas
Plesner's research field involves comparative studies of the human rights of minorities and conditions for coexistence across ethnic and religious divides. The human rights of faith and belief minorities and national minorities in conflict-ridden societies are central. Plesner is a social scientist with a PhD from the Faculty of Law. Since 2016, she has developed and led an international project at The Norwegian Holocaust Center on "Inclusive Citizenship and Human Rights," focusing on online course development and research dissemination targeted at developing countries.
