I am a historian and author with a broad field of interest. I have worked on the history of the Norwegian Romani minority. My doctoral thesis focused on Fridtjof Nansen's humanitarian and international work, so I am well-acquainted with international organizations and humanitarian work in the period from 1900 to 1940. I have also worked on Norwegian foreign policy and Norway’s relations with Russia. I have studied Norwegian nationalism in the 19th and 20th centuries and Scandinavian history in the 19th century. Not least, I have worked on Norway around the time of 1814 and Norwegian political and cultural history in the 19th century. Currently, I am working on Norwegian occupation history and a book project on "The Political Construction of King Haakon VII from 1940 to 1945."
