Re-Examining the Holocaust: New Sources, Approaches, and Interpretations
Dato: 23/04
Tid: 09:30
Centre for Studies of Holocaust and Religious Minorities, Villa Grande, Huk Aveny 56
The Holocaust is one of the better researched cases of genocide. New archival evidence enabled scholars to reconsider many aspects of the Nazi policy of mass murder. The magnitude of Nazi crimes has sparked numerous controversies such as complicity of the Catholic Church, the bombing of Auschwitz, the role of the German society, and local collaboration, to mention just a few. This conference will assess the current state of research on the Holocaust, by addressing some of the academic debates in Europe, America, and specifically Norway.
